Welcome to Puppy Pawties!

October 15th, 2007

Hello and welcome.

Let me take a minute to introduce myself. I have lived in Bend for the past 15 years and really appreciate the fact that it is, for the most part, a dog-oriented city. We’ve got dog parks, pet resorts, pet parades, dog groomers and daycare and bakeries. I am hoping to fill what I see as a gap in the dog ’service’ industry.

I myself am proudly owned by two Boston Terriers - Rembrandt and Ruby, 2 1/2 years and 9 months respectively. I got the idea for Puppy Pawties on Remy’s first birthday. A special snack or tennis ball didn’t seem like quite enough for my special little guy. He brings so much to my life and I really wanted to mark his first year in a special way. So I baked him a cake and invited a couple of his friends over to celebrate. Well, he felt pretty special that he got to have dessert and ate up all of the extra attention too. And thus an idea was born.

I know how special my dogs are and how much joy, happiness and laughter they bring. They’re real members of the family. I’m sure many of you feel the same way and so I have created Puppy Pawties as a way to help you celebrate your dogs’ birthdays and other milestones. I provide a cake for the guest of honor, goodie bags for their friends and a photo session to commemorate their special day.

Remy and Ruby have happily cooperated in taste-testing the recipes. I think Remy’s favorite is the carob cake, but little Ruby has yet to turn her nose up at anything. They both love the oatmeal bone treats. Everything I make has natural ingredients and no wheat or corn products. Always the best for our best friends.

Please give me a call or drop me an e-mail if you’d like me to be a part of your dog’s day. I look forward to meeting you and the loves of your lives. Dogs, to me, are just simply the best.

It is scarcely possible to doubt that the love of man has become instinctive in the dog.
